Prerequisites
What you need:
- A Nabaztag (yes!).
- Windows XP SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP1 (other platforms have not been tested).
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 which you can download here (you will need 2.0 and not 1.1).
- NabazLab, which can be found here.
Do you have everything? Then you can jump to the installation of NabazLab.
Installing NabazLab
- Download the latest release of NabazLab (binaries).
- Create a folder on your computer to uncompress the archive.
-
Now, you should have the following files:
- NabazLab.Assembler.exe, to compile .nzasm sources (command line mode).
- NabazLab.Core.dll, this library contains the main functions of NabazLab.
- NabazLab.RemoteControl.nzmod, server's module 'remote control'.
- NabazLab.Service.exe, this is the Windows' service for NabazLab.
- NabazLab.Studio.exe, development environment to create programs and choregraphies for your rabbit.
- NabazLab.Virtual.dll, this library is for the choregraphy's designer module.
If everything went fine, you just need to configure your Nabaztag.
Configuring your Nabaztag
This step consist of enabling the proxy mode for your Nabaztag so that all communications with Violet's server go through the computer where you installed NabazLab.
In order to do that, you must first set your Nabaztag in configuration mode:
- unplug it,
- press the button on its head (do not release it yet),
- plug it,
- release the button as soon as the lights become blue.
When it is done, open you preferred Web browser and enter this URL http://192.168.0.1 to modify the rabbit's configuration as shown below (replace the address in Proxy IP by the one where NabazLab is actually installed and Proxy port by the port choosen in NabazLab).
Save the configuration and restart your Nabaztag (or simply unplug it and plug it again).
